Making the Season Bright, New Accelerated B.S. in Nursing Program, Fall Athletics Highlights
Some see the end of a year as an opportunity to reflect, revisit, and remember. While I do that occasionally around this time, too, I tend to find myself looking ahead far more often than looking back, and what I see is a tremendous opportunity in 2025 for the Wittenberg community to seize the collective light of generations. This University – our beloved Wittenberg – was built by founder and first president Ezra Keller, brick by brick, column by column, step by step. Students helped in this process for they knew, as he did, that the effort would “require some faith to believe that in after years it will be an academic grove, to which hundreds will drink of the fountain of knowledge” and go on to do good in the world.

WittClipse 2024, Honors Convocation, Lilly Fellows Named
As North America experienced a total solar eclipse on April 8, Wittenberg was positioned perfectly in the path of 100% totality. The campus community and prospective students marked the astronomical phenomenon with space-themed food, Blackout Poetry, pinhole and colander viewers, lawn games, a library exhibit about Neil Armstrong receiving an honorary degree from Wittenberg in 1969, and an eclipse-focused chapel service. Professor Emeritus of Physics Dan Fleisch installed an accurately scaled model of the solar system on campus and provided a telescope for viewing.

MLK Convocation, Healing Humanities, Investing In Young Writers
As we begin a new year, I also want to thank our alumni and friends who have continued to support us. I know Board Chair Bill Edwards and I had to share some challenging news as last year concluded. Despite the challenges, we are not sitting still. Our emphasis continues to be on preparing our students for success both personally and professionally through internship creation, corporate and non-profit partnerships, new program development, facility enhancements, and more. We will be sharing additional information, but for now, I ask that you continue to invest in us so that we can invest in those we serve — our students.
