Alumni and Friends,
In 12 days, the Wittenberg community will again come together for the University's annual Commit to Witt Day of Giving on March 20, 2025. With the theme of "Pass Your Light: Give Like a Tiger," this 24-hour philanthropic event has connected alumni and friends across generations in giving what they can to support students and the Wittenberg mission. Many alumni have also stepped up to serve as Commit to Witt Ambassadors to help us spread the word and encourage their classmates and friends to participate. For those still interested in being an Ambassador, please feel free to sign up below. We value all our Tigers, and we look forward to having you join us.
Commit to Witt has become a tradition at Wittenberg with each year shining a light on the specialness of this University and the education it offers. In supporting this effort, you are showing that you believe in the power of this place to change lives, and for that, we remain deeply grateful. If your time allows, I would direct you to take a closer look at all opportunities to have your gift make a difference on our Commit to Witt website. We also have more than $350,000 committed in challenges that we want to unlock, and together, I am confident that we will succeed.
Thank you for committing to Witt on March 20.
Sincerely,
Dana Cummings
Interim Vice President for Advancement and Alumni Engagement

Solid Foundation
#WittWed couple Haley Mucha Domenick ’16 and Gus Domenick ’13 made lifelong friendships with students, professors, and staff members they met during their time at Wittenberg. As young alumni, they serve their alma mater as leaders of the Columbus chapter of the Wittenberg Alumni Association. They also support Wittenberg with financial contributions, especially during #Commit2Witt.
National Accreditation Earned
Wittenberg’s B.S. in exercise science with a concentration in strength and conditioning recently received a big boost, becoming a nationally accredited program that demonstrates the University’s commitment to preparing students who wish to obtain certification as a strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) in this ever-evolving field.
Unique Collaboration
Since the unveiling of The Steemer to the public in October 2019, the facility has attracted attention as an outstanding place for track and field teams to practice and compete. Each year since then, Wittenberg Track & Field has hosted at least three indoor intercollegiate meets that include top teams from all NCAA divisions. Last month, Wittenberg co-hosted the Gem City Invitational with the University of Dayton Women’s Track & Field.
#LifeAfterWitt
Combining hobbies rooted in flowers and bread-making, #WittWed couple Amanda Shipley Ferrari '12 and Michael Ferrari '12 have found a way to let their love grow while making a little dough. A suburban flower farmer and micro-baker, the team recently began operating a self-serve cart to support their new vocation, Ferrari Flours, on the weekends starting in the spring and going to late fall in Bay Village, Ohio.

Winter Athletics Highlights
Wittenberg has enjoyed an eventful winter sports season. The highlight for a third straight year was a tremendous performance at the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships by Wittenberg Track and Field as the Tiger men won their second straight title and the Tiger women finished second. A host of Tigers won individual titles and earned all-conference awards, led by a pair of individuals who picked up top honors from the league: Izzy Henderson, who earned Women’s Newcomer of the Year and Field Events Athlete of the Year, and Jack Kittle, who earned Men’s Newcomer of the Year and Sprints/Hurdles Athlete of the Year. Wittenberg Women’s Basketball finished in a three-way tie for third place in the NCAC regular season standings before nearly pulling a Cinderella run to the league’s tournament title before losing 46-44 in the championship game. Also of note was a strong season for Wittenberg Women’s Swimming and Diving, which went undefeated in dual meets and placed sixth in the NCAC Championships, highlighted by a record-breaking performance by freshman Teagan O’Connor.
Engage with FIRE Week
Are you interested in being involved with FIRE Week? Now in its fourth year, the program offers students the chance to engage in-depth with faculty, staff, and other students on a wide range of topics outside the traditional classroom. Alumni have the opportunity to engage with potential FIRE Week programs for March 2-6, 2026. The program's leadership team will attempt to connect alumni, faculty, and staff who have intersecting interests in the hopes of enriching our offerings to students. Oral History Project: Evan Cameron '14
Evan Cameron ’14 was inspired by the community service opportunities at Wittenberg. Through such work, students gain a sense of responsibility and empathy and also contribute to the well-being of the local community, experiencing personal growth that remains with them throughout their lives. For Evan, his experiences with the Lesotho service and study abroad program, Habitat for Humanity, and the Rocking Horse Center left a lasting impression on him. He also met his wife, Katharine Ritzi Cameron ’13, on the Lesotho trip. We’re grateful for alumni like Evan and Katharine who have supported Wittenberg throughout the years with a monthly gift to the University. To join them in supporting Wittenberg, make a gift now.
