Hire A Tiger: Employers
Hiring a Wittenberg student or graduate is the right move to make! We recognize that in today's workforce, it is vitally important for employers to recruit talent that has been well developed with both soft and technical skills. To develop those key skills, our tailored "Connections" curriculum engages our students in the perfect blend of classroom instruction and field experiential learning opportunities. Our students graduate with a keen understanding of the world around them and their sense of purpose or call within it. To say the least, our students are well prepared to think critically, collaborate with others, and to support the diverse professional communities of which they are a part.
To learn more about hiring Wittenberg students, see the various opportunities for connecting below:
- Post Employment Opportunities
The easiest way to connect with our students is to become an approved employer and post job opportunities on our campus job board. We currently use the Handshake platform. Once registered as an employer, you can post as many open opportunities as you would like. You can also use the Handshake tools to field applicants, communicate with students, and invite other students to apply. Join Handshake Today!

- Recruit On Campus
Every semester, Career Services hosts opportunities to recruit on campus and meet in-person with students. These opportunities could include any of the following:
- Career Fairs (In-Person & Virtual)
- Employer Information Sessions
- Employer Hosted Mock Interviews & Workshops
- Career Day Presentations or Panel Discussions
To learn more about on-campus recruiting options, please reach out to us at careers@wittenberg.edu.
- Engage With OFIC
Wittenberg is a member of the Ohio Foundation of independent Colleges and Universities (OFIC). This organization, in part, works to leverage the power of all private institutions in Ohio to draw recruiters from top employers nationally. Every year, OFIC hosts various recruiting events, including the bi-annual "CareerFest." Wittenberg students regularly attend these events.
Support A Tiger: Alumni
Wittenberg's alumni base is strong, accomplished, and always willing to give back to current students beginning their career journey. We welcome alumni involvement and know that it is key to the success of our students. Every year alumni return to campus to share their experience in the classroom, serve on student panels, conduct mock interviews, review resumes, and to provide mentorship opportunities. To learn more about ways to give back as an alumnus, please email careers@wittenberg.edu.
If you are looking to hire a Wittenberg student at your organization, please consider the following:
- If you are the company owner or have authority to do so, you may create a company profile on our on-campus job board (Handshake) to post the role.
- If you are an employee of the organization, it is best to advocate with your Human Resources or Recruiting Department to encourage them to add Wittenberg as a school in which they post their open roles.
As we continue to re-imagine the work of Career Services on campus at Wittenberg, new opportunities for alumni engagement will arise. The best way to stay connected is to update your information with the Office of Advancement and Alumni Relations. Opportunities for supporting our students will be communicated through their regular emails.
