Audrey Bonar is a Professor of Practice for the nursing program at Wittenberg. She spends most of her time with students in the hospital setting as a clinical instructor but can also be found participating in simulations and in the skills lab. Audrey continues to practice as a nurse for Kettering Health, where she works in the Emergency Department. She just completed her 16th year as an emergency nurse.
Audrey received her Master of Science in Nursing Education from Capella University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wright State University. She is a certified Emergency Room Nurse (CEN).
Audrey is married to Andy, a 2005 Wittenberg grad, and the mother of three: Luke (10) Grace (7), and Nora (6). In her free time, Audrey enjoys reading, participating in CrossFit, and watching her children play sports. Audrey firmly believes that the best way to learn is to DO and gets very excited when she sees a student/new nurse apply classroom knowledge in the practical setting! She is excited for the opportunity to teach and guide nursing students as they prepare to live their calling as nurses.
