A night of mesmerizing and innovative sounds at the forefront of the contemporary jazz scene is coming to Wittenberg as part of the 2023-2024 Wittenberg Series. The Jon Irabagon Quartet will present a special concert at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 18, in Weaver Chapel.

Poet, essayist, and cultural critic Hanif Abdurraqib will be the keynote speaker for the Allen J. Koppenhaver Literary Lecture as the 2023-2024 Wittenberg Series continues. The event begins at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, in Bayley Auditorium, part of the Barbara Deer Kuss Science Center, and is free and open to the public.

Wittenberg is excited to welcome Step Afrika! back to campus as part of its Black History Month programming series. The group will dance into Springfield for a concert at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, at the 1929 Gymnasium, part of the Health, Wellness, and Athletics Complex.
