Competitive GamingWittenberg has a long history of excellence in academics and athletics, and in 2023, the University entered a new era of student engagement with competitive gaming as a part of campus life. Wittenberg students now have the opportunity to compete in a number of esports titles while earning a top liberal arts degree in a wide variety of academic fields.
Let the Games Begin
Each year, Wittenberg recruits students to compete at the varsity level in our state-of-the art arena in the Benham-Pence Student Center. Additionally, the program recruits shoutcasters who help stream competitions to the Wittenberg community and beyond.
We have developed a state-of-the-art esports arena in the Benham-Pence Student Center. It includes top-of-the-line computers, a team meeting room, and a lounge for players to relax before big events. A stream production room is in the same facility for esports fans who would rather be in front of the camera than on the stage. This program has helped to create several on-campus jobs for student workers.
