Wittenberg University is partnering with Springfield City Schools for the  ninth  year in a row  to host the  Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service 2019 on Saturday, Jan. 26, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at YOUmedia Springfield, located at 700 S. Limestone Street in Springfield.

Brooke Tepe, Wittenberg class of 2018, found that she was at the right place at the right time during her campus tour of Wittenberg. From there, things just fell into place for the nursing major, who is now working at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center as a registered nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

One of the many ways that Wittenberg University excels in developing leaders is by allowing students to start their own campus events or organizations. Justin Unternaher, class of 2019, did just that, and his efforts have paid off in ways that have earned national recognition for Wittenberg’s Union Board student group.

An interest in learning Russian language and history during his days at Wittenberg led Thomas Hyra, class of 1975, to a lengthy and prestigious career of federal service as a Russian intelligence analyst focused on what used to be the Soviet Union.

Wittenberg Triathlon

Any Wittenberg community member is eligible to participate in the Wittenberg Triathlon - students, alumni/ae, members of the faculty and staff, and family members as well. There's no registration fee, and there are no prizes - except the joy of exercising and recreating with friends. You need not complete the entire event yourself; many participants form relay teams to complete the three legs. Please consider joining us for the next Wittenberg Triathlon.
