After 3 long days of traveling, we finally made it to Lesotho!!! Our first day was so fun! The food is actually amazing! And the view is unlike anything I have ever seen before, it doesn't even look real because it is so beautiful. Today I was in the group painting the preschool, we came up with our design ideas and painted the base coat. We also played with the children that live in the village and they absolutely loved playing with my hair and on people's phones. We stayed late enough to see them eat their dinner from the soup kitchen and it was unreal being able to see where they make the meals that I packed in LNI and see the kids enjoy them. Day one was amazing and something I will always remember! -Emmalee :)
We're Here, After three grueling days of travel we have made it to Lesotho! The country is astoundingly gorgeous, and the views can legitimately be seen nowhere else. I was in the group working on the green house today and it was a blast. We dug quite a lot of holes and planted a lot of wooden pools. I also played with the kids in the village who loved clicking with my watch and brush my hair. I am quite tired from a long day of work, but it was well worth it, and I cannot wait to see what comes next.
