Senior Class Giving

What is Senior Class Giving?

Philanthropy CordsIn celebration and support of thesenior class giving tradition, graduating classes at Wittenberg choose to stay true to the mission and values of the university by choosing a Senior Class fundraising initiative that supports Wittenberg itself: the people, the place, or the present.

  • Student Access & Scholarships – The People
  • Campus Stewardship – The Place
  • Strength Through Annual Support – The Present

Graduating classes are led through the practice of raising funds for Wittenberg by their elected peers on the Senior Senate. This act of leadership showcases the classmate’s collective belief in Wittenberg and their desire to pay it forward to other current or future students.

Senior class leaders work with representatives from the Advancement division to select the fund the classmates will support and build a fundraising plan that will begin before winter break and end during the university’s annual Commit to Witt day in March.

Gifts supporting any fund at the institution help propel Wittenberg forward. Specifically, unrestricted gifts to The Wittenberg Fund support the area of greatest need on campus and directly impact each of our students on a daily basis.

In the spirit of giving back to Wittenberg, the Philanthropy Cord has been introduced. Click here to read more.
