Ambassador Toolkit FAQs

What is Commit to Witt?

Commit To Witt is Wittenberg's annual day to pass our light and give back to this institution. Our goal each year is for the Wittenberg community to come together in order to make an immediate impact on current and future Tigers.

Can anyone participate in Commit to Witt?

Absolutely. Support from the entire Tiger community and beyond is what makes Wittenberg University a remarkable place!

What is an Ambassador?

Ambassadors are Wittenberg's peer leaders who share messages and create excitement about Commit to Witt before and during the day. With an investment of a few minutes, Ambassadors help spread awareness—asking their network to participate in Commit to Witt using their preferred forms of communication: social media, email, text, and phone.

  • Join an important tradition: This is Wittenberg’s sixth annual day of giving, with previous events happening in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.
  • Be a part of something big: In 2023, the University raised a record-breaking $642,728 – making it our largest Commit to Witt yet!
  • Every gift matters: You can make a gift of $5 or more to participate in Commit to Witt.
  • Make your gift go further: During Commit to Witt, you’ll see a variety of challenges. Often sponsored by fellow alumni, these are opportunities to maximize your gift’s impact by unlocking additional funds for your favorite areas of campus.
  • Help all areas: This is your opportunity to Give like YOU and support Wittenberg with gifts to multiple areas. From department funds and scholarships, to facilities improvements and faculty support, gifts made during Commit to Witt impact every aspect of this great place.

Your ambassador link will not direct people to the early giving site. People will be able to make a gift through your link between 12 A.M and 11:59 P.M ET on March 13.

You can find your ambassador link by logging into your ambassador dashboard. You can also create a personalized, shorter ambassador link under “Change short URL.”

You will receive a confirmation email from the Commit to Witt Team prompting you to complete your account set up. Sometimes this email goes to a spam folder so be sure to check there if you can’t find it!

Yes. Because each Commit to Witt is different, you'll need to sign up again this year even if you've been an Ambassador in previous day of giving. Please use the sign-up form on this year's Commit to Witt page at wittenberg.edu/commit2witt.

We encourage you to sign up early to make sure you have access to all of the ambassador resources, but you can sign up at any point before Commit to Witt ends on March 13.

You can see who has made a gift by logging in to the ambassador dashboard. Both will be on the right side of the dashboard.

Sorry, we aren't able to attribute gifts not made through an ambassador account to an ambassador link.

Unfortunately, there isn't a way to track how many other ambassadors have signed up using your link.

Please email the Commit to Witt Ambassador Team at alumni@wittenberg.edu with any additional questions.
