Tiger Tales - November 2023 Issue

Published November 11, 2023

Alumni and Friends,

The fall colors are starting to fade, but the energy and engagement that has defined this semester remains. Since our last communication, we have welcomed more guests for the annual Wittenberg Series, accepted more applications for FIRE Week, spent time in the new Sip’s Coffee Bar on campus — part of our new Tiger Ventures — and celebrated with the women’s soccer team and women’s cross country team, both of which won NCAC championships. For the first time in school history, we also have Individual Champions in both men’s and women’s cross country.

While I am proud of our students' success and all that we do to deliver a student-first education, I also know that the challenges facing higher education, and especially liberal arts colleges like Wittenberg, are ongoing and significant. We are working to navigate these difficult times, and your support is needed. I hope you will consider making a calendar-year end gift today at giving.wittenberg.edu. More information on our needs and plans will also be forthcoming.

With this being Veterans Day, Sharon and I extend our gratitude for the service and sacrifice of all Wittenberg veterans. Please enjoy this month's e-newsletter.

Best regards,

Michael L. Frandsen, Ph.D.
President
