Imagine Change
Thanks to funding from ServeOhio, the Susan Hirt Hagen Center for Civic and Urban Engagement is relaunching the MLK Day of Service on Jan. 16, 2023. The event will feature 50 volunteers gathering supplies to assist community partners in addressing area needs.
Developing Community Ties
In her new position as the director of reentry for Clark County, Brooke Wagner, former associate professor of sociology and director of the criminology program at Wittenberg, is helping to develop community ties by hiring Wittenberg students to work with her in the Clark County Department of Reentry.
Life-Changing Conversation
Alumni connections play a powerful role for Wittenberg and its students’ future success. Rob Lehner ’11 recently connected H.O. Hirt Professor of History Scott Rosenberg with Pacifique Mbaraga, a survivor of the Rwandan genocide, who spoke to students in Rosenberg’s Genocide in Post-Colonial Africa course about his experiences.
Tiger Tank 2022
Eight students had the opportunity to pitch their entrepreneurial ideas to three guest judges during last month’s Tiger Tank event. Sponsored by the department of business and economics and similar to the hit show Shark Tank, the event gives students the chance to learn, present, and further an idea in a fun and comfortable environment.
Gotta Dance
Wittenberg has introduced a new Dance Team that combines competition and community, as well as boosts school spirit at campus events. Directed by Christeen Stridsberg, instructor of theatre and dance, this new opportunity allows students with varied interests and passions to also pursue dance.

Follow this link to join the NetworkWitt community and then click the Business Directory on the Resources tab to share your information.
