Each new experience is a chance to grow.

As a business owner, Quin Gable, ’14, knows how it goes. Even when you sweat over every detail, sometimes life has a plan of its own. “You can’t think everything will be perfect – you won’t be able to think on your toes,” Gable says. “Without Wittenberg, I wouldn’t have the skills that helped me adapt and create.”

We all bring something bright into the world.

James Lesinski ’14 didn’t know exactly what to expect from the Washington Semester program, so it helped that Wittenberg advisors and professors were always on call – just like friends and mentors. Ten years later, he’s built a professional network in the U.S. House of Representatives, where he serves as legal counsel on policy and oversight.

You determine your own destiny (and your legacy).

No matter what you go through, says Jason Gregory’20, you can lead a life that inspires others. At Wittenberg, that’s exactly what he did to earn the Tharros Award for grit and perseverance. After graduation, Jason landed his dream job at the Springfield Metropolitan Housing Authority—the same system in which he grew up—helping families find their own paths to success. “Wittenberg helped bring out skills that I never thought I had in me,” he said.
