The Interfaith Prayer and Meditation Room is available for all students at Wittenberg University.
Located on the second floor of the Thomas Library, students of all religious backgrounds and spiritual groups have a quiet, personal space to reflect, meditate, and pray in a private setting.
At Wittenberg, Campus Ministries encourages and welcomes students of all faiths and religious backgrounds. Students are given the freedom and opportunity to actively practice their faith, express themselves, and continue their spiritual journey. Having a private room dedicated to giving individuals a warm and peaceful setting to pray or meditate allows for those opportunities.
“It is important for students, whatever their background, to have the opportunity and freedom to practice their beliefs,” said Daniel Jacob, chapel ministry associate at Wittenberg. “Giving students a space and the resources to do it is what this room was made for.”
The Interfaith Prayer and Meditation Room is open and readily available for students to use whenever the library is open so students can pray, reflect and meditate whenever they feel the need to.
