Commencement 2018: #StompTheSeal

Wittenberg's 168th Commencement Exercises Through The Lens Of Social Media

Wittenberg University's 2018 Commencement exercises took place in picturesque Commencement Hollow under mostly sunny skies and with warm temperatures. More than 370 graduates were celebrated by a standing-room-only crowd of family and friends.

The ceremony featured the conferral of two honorary degrees and the university's Medal of Honor to Professor of Religion Warren Copeland in recognition of more than 40 years or meritorious service. The honorary degrees were awarded to Robert Perry '67, in recognition of his distinguished career as a United States diplomat, and to His Majesty King Letsie III of Lesotho, who also delivered the Commencement Address.

What follows is a compilation of social media posts that offer a colorful look at a magical day. #StompTheSeal
