Springfield, Ohio – Associate Professor of History Christian Raffensperger, along with members of the Wittenberg community, has been working to host the 18th annual Wittenberg Triathlon on Saturday, April 22. The triathlon brings together students, alumni, members of the faculty and staff, and family members, too, all in the name of fitness.
The event begins in the Wittenberg Health, Physical Education and Recreation (HPER) Center with 18 laps in the pool. Participants then depart Bill Edwards drive and head toward Ohio Bicycle Route 40/Buck Creek Trail where they undergo approximately 13 miles of biking. Finally, the route culminates with a 3.1 mile run from Bill Edwards Drive and routing participants back to the HPER Center.
“It's a fun and healthy way to recreate with friends old and new,” Raffensperger said. “This is a fun event for new triathletes, especially, featuring a supportive and welcoming home audience to help motivate you through the course.”
Participate solo, or recruit a team of a swimmer, biker and runner to do the non-competitive, community-building event together. Click Here for additional information about the Wittenberg Triathlon.
