Scavenger hunt!

Today we got one extra hour of sleep which was AMAZING! After breakfast we divided into 7 groups of 4 for a scavenger hunt and were dropped off 2 kilometers away from the trading post in Roma. We received a list of 12 tasks which had to be completed in order to win the game. Some of the things that were on the list were to find a stamp, get chappies (candy) and take pictures of certain buildings. After finding the items on the list we had to get our groups back to the trading post which resulted in people catching a cab and others running the 2 kilometers back home. Danny, Isaac, Jeanette, and Kaylee's group won with an exhilarating sprint to the finish.

After everyone arrived back to the trading post we had Carel Fox, the Chargee D'affaire of the US embassy, come and talk to us about how the embassy worked in Lesotho and how the aid from other countries are used. Then after lunch we had 2 more speakers, Tumelo Tsikoane, who talked about transportation in Lesotho, and M.N. Ntho, who talked about gender, culture and the youth in Lesotho.

Tonight we are watching a movie, Cry Freedom. Back to building houses tomorrow!

Sam, Jamila, and Danny
