In an effort to connect, support, and guide students and alumni in their careers, Wittenberg launched NetworkWitt (also known as PeopleGrove) during Homecoming, Reunion, and Family Weekend.
A new platform for student and alumni engagement, NetworkWitt focuses on career exploration, mentorship, networking, and building Wittenberg connections along with employment opportunities.
“A partnership between the Offices of Career & Professional Development and Alumni Relations, NetworkWitt is for students, alumni, faculty, and staff to engage with each other,” said Brittany House Conrad, executive director of career engagement and professional development. “Whether you’re a recent grad, current student, an alumnus/a with significant professional experience, or a faculty or staff member, we are all looking to connect and help each other. That is one of the great aspects of Wittenberg. NetworkWitt provides Wittenberg with a private community to connect.”
Wittenberg is committed to ensuring that students and alumni are connected to the networks they need for success. NetworkWitt supports this goal by providing a space to ease stress in the job search, offer insight, partner in the career journey, and more. NetworkWitt provides a trusted network and simplified interactions to find people, exchange messages, and book and attend meetings all in the same platform. There is no need to give out personal information to participate or use other video meeting tools; everything is available through the platform. The community is designed to support meaningful conversations, whether it’s a quick 15-minute discussion or an ongoing mentorship, members are there to support each other.
“We see NetworkWitt at Wittenberg University as a powerful tool that can drive long-term success,” said Holly Gersbacher, Wittenberg class of 2003 and director of alumni relations. “Not only is NetworkWitt a great resource for students to secure a first destination job, this platform can support alumni who want to network for their own careers. Your participation makes a difference, so I hope everyone will claim their account and connect with those who share your background or interests, or pay it forward and mentor those who are navigating their next step in life.”
