On Campus

Welcome, Sibs

Wittenberg hosts Sibs Saturday on Feb. 12

Wittenberg’s Union Board, Student Involvement, and Residence Life have joined forces to host Sibs Saturday on Feb. 12 beginning at 10 a.m.

An annual opportunity designed to bring Wittenberg students and their siblings/relatives together on campus, the program will feature several campus activities, including a carnival with inflatables and games from 12:30 to 4 p.m. in the 1929 Fieldhouse inside the University’s newly renovated and expanded Health, Wellness & Athletics (HWA) Complex.

This year’s featured guest will be juggler Nick Thomas, who will present his variety show beginning at 1 p.m. Thomas, a recent college graduate himself, provides a fast-paced variety show that includes juggling, yo-yos, magic, comedy, a high-tech LED juggling finale, and more. Recently featured on ABC’s “The Gong Show,” this up-and-coming star is a six-time world record holder, gold medal-winning juggler, and has performed internationally for companies such as Comcast and Google.

Those participating in Sibs Saturday should first check in at the W-tables in the Benham-Pence Student Center. Tours of campus will then take place from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. At noon, guests can cheer on Wittenberg men's volleyball team against Maryville in the HWA’s Pam Evans Smith Arena or the women’s lacrosse team in its game against Centre College in The Steemer. The men’s lacrosse team takes on Centre at 3 p.m. in The Steemer. Cap off the evening with a movie night in the Center Dining Room (CDR) of the Benham-Pence Student Center at 9 p.m.

A tentative schedule of events can be accessed on the Sibs Saturday schedule. To sign up, visit Sibs Saturday Registration.
