Tree With Lights For ChristmasMaking the Season Bright

The campus community recently gathered in celebration to ring in the holiday season. The third-annual Wittenberg Tree Lighting included a sing-along, holiday crafts, and a German-style Christmas market. Music was provided by Just Eve and the Wittmen Crew, while Wittenberg’s GetWittCrew, Cheerleading, and Pep Band kept the event festive. A special video captured the fun, as well.


Weaver ChapelAnnual Holiday Tradition

Focused on the theme “rejoice,” the annual Lessons and Carols for Advent & Christmas featured readings by students and classic compositions performed by nearly 50 musicians. In keeping with tradition, the service concluded with a candlelit singing of Silent Night.


Myers HallChoose Ohio First

Wittenberg will be awarded a grant from the Ohio Department of Higher Education in the amount of $1,075,999.96 as part of the Choose Ohio First (COF) funding round. COF grants support scholarships for students in the critical fields of science including health professions, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Wittenberg will award the first scholarships through this program to eligible students beginning in Fall 2024.


Wittenberg Students in LabPartnering in Healthcare

Wittenberg announces a new partnership with the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) for students interested in pursuing advanced degrees in dentistry, medicine, and pharmacy. Under the agreements with LECOM’s Early Acceptance Program, five seats will be reserved for Wittenberg students in the college’s dental school, medical college, and pharmacy program.

The Why Witt? podcast recently welcomed Untapped Learning CEO Brandon Slade '06 who discussed the "Art and Science of Indecision.” Slade’s Boulder, Colorado-based company is an executive function coaching organization dedicated to helping students tap into their full potential. Jordan Bamberger ’09 discovered her passion for helping others as a Wittenberg student, leading to an impactful career as a counselor at an alternative high school in rural Colorado and the creation of an unconventional soccer program to benefit everyone in the community.
